Fortune Cookie

I was stuck a lot when I was doing this, but he first thing I did was brainstorm. What I thought I was going to do in the beginning turned out a lot different at the end. On one of my fortunes, the learn Chinese part were the words "Can you help me?" So I transformed that into this. I cut out the black bars to make it have a jail cell effect. Then, I put bright colors and happy swirls on the inside to show the happiness being locked in, along with the words "Can you help me?" In both Chinese and English.

Art x3

The process of this took a while. Because there are so many layers,  I had to keep adding various magazine cutouts and tissue paper, but also adding paint and writing to the piece. I found this to be pretty easy. I was never stuck on what to do. I felt like completing someone else's work helped me to feel more creative. I didn't mind letting go of the other two pieces, because I knew the last one was the one I was keeping. This taught me that sometimes you have to let go of things to get to the things that are most important.

Pop Print

The process for this took a while, because it took a while to get accustomed to getting the paint on the stamp and then putting that on the paper. The rest was easy, except for washing the stamp between every color could get annoying. I chose this particular bottle because I thought it was a good choice for a pop print. It was mostly lines and not a lot of shadows, so it was easy to draw. I thought that the idea of mass production was easy, once you got into a system.
